Patrice Marchal Patrice Marchal was born in Abijan on January 7, 1963 on the Ivory Coast of West Africa. His parents were from metropolitan France. Shortly afterwards his family moved to Morocco and there Patrice grew up in the arid climate of the desert, merging with the dark red of Morocco, a wonderful beginning of his childhood. As he grew up he developed a passion for all nature, a wonder and admiration of beautiful flowers, especially wild flowers, against the panorama of vast blue skies. With this "souvenir" of infancy, Marchal, the young artist, transported himself to France and began to compare the different colors and delicious contrasts of the Ile de France. Here Patrice Marchal saw the landscapes of the impressionists and virtually fell in love with this land. His passion with the impressionistic metier was enthusiastically authentic - especially the works of Alfred Sisley. Almost unknowingly, Marchal followed the modulations of the landscapes, the rhythm and pulses of the rise and fall of the sun. The symphony of the pastoral, radiant creativity - and the other canvases of the vegetation and its abundance. It became the answer to the secret of his own inspiration - the source of all paintings. Robert Paul Galleries is proud to bring the works of Patrice Marchal to the American collector.
