Diana Card Diana Card is a completely self-taught artist. She was born in 1956 on a farm in northeastern New Jersey. Her art studio was on the farm located in the barn. She painted in the realism style until the age of 30. After moving to the coast of Maine in 1985 she started to paint in the naïve style and now considers herself to be a naïve painter. She operated two galleries in Maine featuring the work of other folk artists as well as her own. Her work can be found in private collections throughout the US, England, Germany and Japan. Diana states that her work is inspired by people and their relationships, both past and present. She explores complex themes and reduces them down to their simplest form. She considers herself to be a naïve artist in the truest sense. Robert Paul Galleries is proud to show the works of American artist Diana Card.
